My interest in physics was sparked by a great teacher my sophomore year of high school, who showed me that women are just as capable of being in science as men.

By the time I graduate, I will have done five semesters of research at my institution, two summers of research in my field of interest, presented my research at multiple national conferences, and contributed to the publication of multiple research projects.

This scholarship is important because it significantly reduces the financial burden I experience as a first-generation low-income student. I get to focus more on my education and spend more time doing my academic work.
