Senior Program Manager, Diversity & Careers, APS

About

Bri Hart (she/her) is a Senior Program Manager for Diversity and Careers for the American Physical Society. In this role, manages select projects within the American Physical Society’s portfolio of national and international programs that support equity, diversity, and inclusion in the physics community. Her primary responsibility is leading APS’ National Mentoring Community (NMC) -- a mentoring community that centers the experiences of Black, Latinx, and Indigenous physics students.

Bri’s professional background and interests includes developing and leading STEM-focused programs to create space for historically marginalized folks within the higher education and nonprofit sectors, including women and gender minority students, first generation college students, and students who have been ethnically and racially minoritized. As a part of TEAM-UP Together, Bri has been able to provide support and consultation for the project’s scholarship and mentoring initiatives.

Bri is a proud two-time graduate of the University of Georgia, where she earned her B.S., Ed. in Health and Physical Education and her M.Ed. in College Student Affairs Administration.

Outside of work, Bri enjoys traveling, exercising, trying new restaurants, and going to concerts.
