I am passionate about applying physics to foster harmony between humans and nature, drawing on biomimicry to address challenges in land rehabilitation and mining while creating solutions that benefit both communities and ecosystems.

From a young age I was drawn to solving problems, not realizing I was applying physics. It felt like physics found me; it’s a natural path that fuels my curiosity, creativity, and drive to explore and understand the universe.
My future plans include a master’s in engineering and eventually a Ph.D. Gaining expertise will help me tackle challenges I’m passionate about and contribute to research and innovations that advance sustainable development.
I’m building deeper involvement in the biomimicry community — having completed the introductory course and workshops, I plan to pursue advanced courses, attend conferences, and contribute to hands-on projects.
This scholarship recognizes my hard work, my parents’ sacrifices, and my commitment to Black excellence. It eases financial strain and allows me to focus on my studies and continue pursuing my academic passions.
