I know I’m not the only one who has questions that need to be answered.

I have always harbored a curiosity about what lives above us. The desire for knowledge about the evolution of the universe, stars, and galaxies has always driven me. I have always possessed the desire to contribute to knowledge of the universe.
I’m very passionate about finding answers to unanswered questions. Our sky offers so many of these, and finding these answers offers a sense of perspective about where we are.
I would love to go to grad school to pursue a Ph.D. and do research regarding theoretical astronomy. I would love to do work in a research lab or even work for NASA someday.
I’m currently embarking on a research project entitled “How Time Affects the Weight of Dwarf Galaxies.” I’m currently analyzing different models of stellar mass for different galaxies, observing how they compare and contrast.
As a fellow Black individual in astronomy, receiving this award will help me pursue my future endeavors and to inspire others like me to pursue their dreams. I want to show that any barriers we may face, we can blow them back full force.
