Blessing Akinro

I recently graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelors of Science in Physics with an advanced concentration and a minor in History. During my undergraduate career I received the Team up together scholarship in 2024 and again in 2025, which completely altered my undergraduate physics experience. Through Team-Up Together I gained community and strengthened my identity as a scientist. My hope is to foster that same experience for other students, and encourage members of historically marginalized communities to take up space in the field of physics. In the past I have done research related to quantum materials, condensed matter physics, and medical physics, and will be pursuing a medical physics Ph.D. in the future.
