Sometimes I tell myself that it's the pure scientific elements in physics — other times, I reckon it's the unique nature of the concepts, but what I'm most passionate about in physics is the impact I get to make in the world with a physics degree.

Physics is something I have come to enjoy simply for how fascinating it is. When I saw, through a movie, just how much I can do with a background in physics, I knew I needed exposure. And once I got this exposure, I couldn’t stop.
Tentatively, I plan to attend graduate school to obtain a Ph.D. in either astrophysics or mathematical physics. My choice of which field to delve deeper into evolves daily, so I’m likely to go down a different physics route in the future.
This fall, I’ll be studying “Rational Points on Elliptic Curves.” A major theme in this independent study is Elliptic Curve Cryptography, a skill that’ll no doubt be invaluable in my further studies, especially with my background in abstract algebra.
Saying that the TEAM-UP Together Scholarship will save me a load of financial worries is to say the least. This scholarship is everything I have hoped for since getting into college. It’s a guarantee that I get to pursue my studies in best spirit.
