I find myself most passionate about energy and studies of that.

The event that activated my interest in physics was my high school junior year physics class. My teacher admitted that he had no background in physics and asked us to bear with him. Despite that, I still found myself enjoying the class.
Currently, I am developing an interest in laser spectroscopy.
My future plan for my degree is to work in a national lab for at least a year or two and then to possibly pursue higher education.
Currently, I am working with two different physics professors on their respective research. For one, I have had the pleasure of working at SLAC and getting to learn about the ATLAS project. For the other, I am learning about laser spectroscopy.
Receiving this scholarship award is important for me because it allows me to pursue an extremely difficult STEM major without the need to worry about whether or not I can afford to continue my studies.
