My mother sparked my curiosity with a telescope, science books, and museum trips. Since then, physics and astronomy have inspired me, reminding me of both possibility and the vastness beyond my circumstances.

I’m passionate about inspiring future physicists and astronomers, the thrill of discovery, and exploring the building blocks of reality to better understand our universe.
After earning my bachelor’s degree in astronomy and astrophysics, I plan to pursue a Ph.D. focused on high-energy physics, cosmology, and instrumentation, while also completing master’s degrees in education and Portuguese.
I am a 2025 Simons-NSBP Scholar and conducted research at the Flatiron Institute in NYC, for which I developed and extended statistical techniques to improve the separation of foreground signals from the cosmic microwave background.
As a financially independent student and former foster youth, I rely on scholarships to pursue my education. The TEAM-UP Together Scholarship eases my burden, allowing me to focus on school, research, and community leadership.
