I am most passionate about black holes because if their centers are truly infinite, they challenge the very laws of physics as we know them. They also raise deep questions about what ‘infinity’ really means.

My love for physics began in eighth grade when my teacher introduced me to black holes. Their mysterious and fascinating nature sparked my curiosity and inspired me to learn more about the universe.
I want to pursue black hole research with NASA. There is still so much we don’t know about them, since we can’t directly gather information or capture an actual image of a black hole itself.
I have conducted research in both battery science and aerospace engineering, and I currently serve as vice president of the Society of Physics Students at Howard University.
Receiving this scholarship is important because it allows me to continue chasing my passion for physics without the constant stress of finances. It gives me the chance to focus on learning and pursuing the dreams I’ve had since middle school.
