With this scholarship, I am able to keep attending college without having to take on an extra year. It decreases many of my financial worries so that I am able to focus on my work and grow my physics skills!

I always wondered about space and the cosmos that surrounds us. To study celestial objects in space and to be able to answer the “unknown” questions that surround space exploration has always intrigued me.
I am most passionate about breaking stereotypical barriers in the STEM community. I want to make it seen that it is possible for a Black woman to pursue a STEM degree and do amazing things with it. I also love the moon!
After undergrad, I plan to pursue graduate school in astrophysics and work my way from there to a research position. NASA is the goal!
Since starting college in 2023, I have been able to attend various conferences and achieve so much knowledge and so many connections. Over the summer, I took on a planetary geologist online research position for the NASA L’SPACE program!
