Millicent K. Ruffin Ph.D. is Division Vice President of Corning Community Impact at Corning Incorporated, where she leads the company’s philanthropy, economic development, employee engagement, and community investment strategies across the United States. An active nonprofit and civic leader, she serves on multiple boards and works closely with community, education, healthcare, and economic development organizations to expand opportunity and strengthen regional vitality. Since joining Corning in 2001, she has held leadership positions spanning research, technology development, business innovation, global operations, and community impact, including leading Corning’s Advanced Technology Center in Taipei, Taiwan. A scientist by training and a community leader by passion, Ruffin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Furman University and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Michigan. She is widely recognized for building partnerships that connect corporate success with the long-term vitality of communities.
