I’m most passionate about the unknowns in astronomy and how my journey may evolve. I’m excited to see where research takes me — whether that’s new discoveries, places I’ll travel to, or unexpected directions my work may shift.

What activated my interest in astronomy was the everlasting wonder behind it: there’s always more to explore and discover, and much of our current information can shift. Our world around Earth is beautiful but intricate, so I would like to know more.
As an astronomy major with a computer science minor, I hope to pursue a career that blends scientific discovery with technological innovation — especially in space research, data science, or aerospace engineering.
As a sophomore, I haven’t yet had access to formal astronomy internships, but last spring I conducted research with a professor, gaining hands-on experience in astrophysics and data analysis that built a strong foundation for my future work.
This scholarship would ease financial strain, reduce my work hours, and allow me to focus more fully on my studies and research in astronomy while continuing my commitment to equity and representation in STEM.
