My story

I love how physics can be used in every aspect of life, and it’s always there when you look for it. One of the things I’m very interested in is making physics more exciting and accessible. By making some difficult topics seem more appealing and engaging, we might be able to get more people interested in pursuing physics and STEM in the future, and it’s not impossible to think that those people might change the world someday. I plan on going to grad school to get a doctorate in physics and/or physics education, and I would love to become a professor and researcher someday. I’m currently working on developing online materials for courses at universities like Duke, as well as planning an interactive experiment that plans to use digital media to make physics education more accessible.

This scholarship award allows me to continue pursuing my education while alleviating a lot of the burden of financial concerns, and it connected me with a community of passionate students and researchers that all have the goal of making the world better through physics and astronomy.
